A day in the life...

So, I bet you are wondering what it is like being on the bus with the Dolls? Let me tell you it can be a blast and it can have its ups and downs. Don’t get me wrong I love the girls but just think about being in a confined space with you’re four best friends and your sisters. That’s pretty much what it’s like. We all sleep in bunks that have a little curtain so we can have some privacy. I bought my own bedding-sheets and blankets so that my little hole would feel some what homey and then the rest of the girls thought it was a pretty good idea and so every bunk now has its own little feel to it. In the mornings I usually wake up on a moving bus and its hard to get up and walk down the little hallway to the front where I usually find Ashley on her computer eating some cereal or some oatmeal. Her feet are usually in the foot ma**ager. I join her and am usually zoned out for a good half hour while I try and wake up and then Melody usually comes out next. She likes to make her tea and join in breakfast or just sit and zone out with me. I don’t usually see Carmit or Nicole until after we are stopped, they sleep in a little later. I don’t blame them and if I could I would to but I just have a hard time sleeping past noon. When I was a kid my mom would get mad if I slept any later and sometimes I would get in trouble so I think it has conditioned me to get up. Its not such a bad thing, I'd hate to sleep every day away. Once we are stopped at the venue we usually mosey in for those of us that haven eaten and get something to eat at the venue. Its either that or straight to the luggage to get a workout outfit. Nicole and I are the joggers in the group. If I don’t get a jog in almost every day I start feeling lethargic and for the show to keep up with the stamina I gotta get a good work out in every day. Ashley works out quite a bit too but she isn’t much of a jogger, although she gets out there some. Nicole and I like to be outside and sweat and do our thing, Ash is usually in the gym. Around 4:30 or 5 we all go into catering and get a bite to eat. We keep our fingers crossed that they have something good to eat but our meals usually consist of sandwiches. I am usually stuck with a white bread, mayonnaise, turkey, tomato, lettuce sandwich or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

It has to be Jiffy though. It’s the only peanut butter I like. Crunchy is always the best. From there I gotta start the process of getting ready because we usually have press at 6 and a meet and greet around seven. So, off to the shower and time to start hair and makeup. The awesome thing about all of us Dolls is that we actually do all of our own hair and makeup. That’s like an actor saying he does all his own stunts!! Haha… Ashley is usually the first one done and ready, I come in a close second. It’s a toss up between Melody and Jessica although I’d say its usually Jessica next and then Melody. As for Carmit and Nicole, they usually lag and wait till the last second to start. Nicole is usually on her jog until thirty minutes until we need to be ready and Carmit, well, she just likes to take her time. But Nicole, for the most part, works it out and is ready in time and then we are all waiting for Carmit to come in last. Let me tell you that order right there is almost always on point. People could make bets on it and people actually do. Especially our security guy and manager. We do some radio interviews for the local stations and some photos and then we all head off to the meet and greet. We take pictures with the fans and then do autographs. We rush off back the dressing room to do vocal warm ups and for me I gotta stretch my body and legs and neck. It’s so very important. Then we help each other get our packs and in ears in and off we go to the stage. Flipsyde is opening the whole show so we usually run into them on our way. We get there about two minutes before its time, I usually jog in place and do some jumping jacks to get me pumped. We come together to do a small pep talk between us dolls put our hands in and do a 1, 2, 3, P C D, and off we go to the stage thrity seconds before the show starts. Ashley and I grab hands and walk through the tunnel in the dark as the music starts and the show begins. From then on is what you gotta come see. But that’s basically what has been our lives, show after show. It’s been awesome.
